Semi Permanent Make Up / Medical Tattooing

What is semi-permanent makeup?
Semi-permanent makeup (SPMU) is a relatively recent phenomenon, becoming more prevalent in the last 15 years. It is implanting the right colour in the right place so you can look better naturally. It is not an extreme art but one of subtle harmony. It is the implantation of a pigment suspended in a medium into the dermis or under the skin instead of on top as with traditional makeup. SPMU is an alternative to cosmetic pencils applied to the eyebrows, eyelids, lips and other parts of the face.

What is Paramedical Camouflage
Cosmetic Pigment Camouflage (CPC) is a specialised procedure which involves area such as areola re-pigmentation (after breast reconstruction), scars, skin grafts, stretch mark camouflage, wrinkle therapy, burns, pigment removal and lightening. It attempts to correct birth defects (e.g. cleft palate), correct disfigurement from illness or accident, or provide cosmetic corrections from surgery.

Pigment Lightening/Removal
PLR is only for the client who has something they seriously do not want - it is not a treatment chosen on a whim. Removal is both expensive and time consuming and is not always successful. Excellent results have been achieved on removing pigment and there are very many delighted clients. Nevertheless pigment removal cannot offer a “magic-wand” effect and remove-without-trace. We are “technicians” not “magicians”. The removal process is multi-procedure which in itself causes the treated skin to become traumatised, and in some cases hypertrophic. The remover’s solutions has been manufactured to remove semi-permanent pigment and it has some success on lighting/removing pigment on permanent tattoos.

Procedures

Eyebrows

Anyone who desires more fullness of the brows will love the procedure and the time saved not applying makup. Those who used to apply pencil can go swimming, play sports or wipe their forehead without the embarrassment of losing their eyebrows. Alopecia sufferers are pleasantly surprised at how natural it looks.

Eyeliner

A subtle, natural look, mimicking thousands of tiny eyelashes with the implantation of pigments in the lash line is a very popular procedure. Additional shadowing of colour can be added for a soft natural liner or a more bold. definite line can be achieved

Lipliner

The Intradermal Pigmentation procedure for lip colour is beautiful. It can appear to change the size and shape of the lips as well as the colour. This procedure helps prevent lipstick from bleeding into the surrounding skin. A soft pink, similar to the lip colour of a newborn baby, is popular for those wanting a natural look. A more dramatic colour can be achieved if desired.

Medical Tattooing (CPC)

Micropigmentation delivers fantastic results in the medial field. Doctors, Nurses, Surgeons, Radiologists and Specialists have recognised the value of Micropigmentation for procedures such as vitillgo, areola restoration, scar camouflage, cleft lip, burns and “Marking the spot” in radiotherapy.
